A Friend Until The End
When I introduced myself to you
I felt temporary comfort and peace of mind
when all seemed bleak and hard to bear my new found friend
I would seek to find

I never had to look very far you were always near and close at hand
no matter what I shared with you I knew only you would understand
you became the object of my desire
replacing family values and old time friends

Such a friend and guiding light
who would have believed you'd take my life
you're still pretending to be a friend to so many
who are taken in by your game
what was your real name any way?

Touch Me, Touch Me, Touch Me Not
I am a child not a consenting adult
why open my eyes to so much too soon
and cause my small body pain when you are breaking my body frame
What was to be shared between two people in love
in mind won't be the same
Uncle Aunt Father Brother you so called family friend
Please won't you Please won't you Please won't you
Please won't you think this over again
you the adult the one I could trust to lead comfort and guide
don't kill my joy don't rob my youth and throw my pain aside
Touch Me Touch Me Touch Me Not!
I am a child and you have to stop

A Midnights Drear
It came upon a midnights drear
a parents nightmare and deepest fear
The words their hearts refuse to hear
our baby our child whom we love so dear
how could you speak those words so clear
our precious child no longer here
minds racing forward so many questions so little of answers
shot stabbed or ill diagnosed of Cancer
whatever the reason for this heartbreak
departure that results in pain and tears
how could you speak those words of drear
the words we fear and refuse to hear
but you say It so clear
our child no longer here.

Seen Yet Unseen
You looked upon my upward smile
which camouflaged my downward frown
you could not hear within my laughter
the sounds of sadness from a heart that was shattered
you looked into my open eyes
that are now closed shut due to suicide

The Hands of the Man
How can I forgive the hands of the man that causes so much pain the swollen eye lids the broken nose bridge and the bloody tear drop stains
How can I forgive the hands of the man that pleasure me through the night the gentle strokes from the same hands that choke how could I be so blind
How can I forgive the hands of the man that gives both pleasure and pain by praying for strength and loving myself enough to make a change

Meet the Artist
Hello, My name is Eugene Terrell Booker and I am a native of Peoria, Illinois. I discovered the LORD blessed me with a special talent, and that talent is painting. Through my pain, trials and tribulations, I have been able to create soulful art work. People have always told me that my work has an emotional bearing on them, but I never fully realized it until I witness a grown man almost breakdown in tears. All I ever wanted was to touch, uplift people spirits, and educate, by showing them that you can take the negitive aspects of your life and turn them into something positive, something beautiful. Instead of being locked away in a closet, enclosed in darkness, I feel like my art is something special that must be shared with the world.
